Hello lovelies,
Happy New Year! I spent the réveillon at a fabulous party in the 16th arrondissement. It was magnifique...It was a masquerade! I wore the most stunning Venetian mask that matched perfectly with my fab New Year's Eve dress!
The host and hostess, Norbert Normandy and Sandra Jamison, are the most elegant and worldly couple! I met them at a dinner they hosted for ex-pats in Paris a few years ago and since then I am lucky enough to find myself on the guest lists for all their fabulous soirées! Sandra, a fiery New Yorker and actress and her husband Norbert a multilingual architect are the epitome of class and sophistication!
From the (heated!) terrace we took in breathtaking views of the parisian skyline at midnight, a sight so beautiful it moved even the most cynical party guests. Sandra and Norbert didn't overlook a single detail for this gorgeous New Years bash! A jazz combo played american standards leading up to the countdown and a photographer clicked away all night capturing priceless moments. Waiters circulated serving coupe after coupe of Veuve Cliquot and the canapés were (almost) too beautiful to eat! As we sipped champagne under the large heat lamps on the exquisitely decorated terrace, it felt more like Marrakesh than the 16th!
What a magical and memorable way to ring in 2010!
Bonne Année, ladies! Can't wait to hear about your nights!
Bisous, Ophelia
