More Than A Job Hunt

My dearest Ophelia and Flora,

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending the world premiere of a blockbuster movie.   I was invited extremely last minute so I wasn't dressed in my ideal outfit by any means, but believe me when I tell you that no one was looking at yours truly ;)  The red carpet, the A-list talent, the paparazzi, the attendees, and of course the after party at Boulevard 3 made my night with the stars a dream come true!  The premiere was at that the Arclight Cinedome, which was definitely my #1 choice in terms of theaters, as it is located on Sunset Blvd.in central Hollywood... It was a perfect evening of cinema, glamor, schmoozing, drinks, exotic hors d'oeuvres and networking.  To my surprise I knew quite a few faces at the after-party and you girls would have been proud of your E.I. Rose!

This ever so perfect affair provided me with the much needed motivation to refocus my energies into building a career... and even more so a lifestyle.  There was a moment in the evening when I stepped outside for some fresh air and there I was...surrounded by Hollywood royalty...sipping my champagne...and I realized, my sweet ladies, that it is not a job I am on the hunt for...  it is a lifestyle!

So what steps have I taken since the premiere?  Well, as you already know, I got an internship lined up for the new year, but more importantly I have set general meetings with assistants/creative executives/and producers over the next couple of weeks to keep me busy until the Xmas holidays.

I may be slightly cynical, and jaded (eternally interning does that to a person), but I am holding strong and going full force for my dreams. Isn't that what it is all about?  Eternal Interns, we are the next generation!

Now excuse me while I go get further inspired by one of my favorites, Man of La Mancha! (side-note: so excited to see Sophia Loren in NINE!)

"To dream the impossible dream...to run where the brave dare not go...to reach the unreachable star!"

xxx Rose

  1. Rose, you could not be more right! It IS a lifestyle we are searching. That's what the Eternal Interns were doing while everyone else was settling for a job!

I have a new outlook on life! xoxo O.

May all the dreams for all three of you come true.
